Cartagena’s nightlife may not be its raison d’être, but that doesn’t mean the city doesn’t come alive at night. Particular favourites are Donde Fidel and Cafe del Mar for a few cocktails before heading to bed, but other great bars in Cartagena are dotted around the city.
As for clubs, there are areas of the city such as Getsemaní which cater to a younger crowd that are looking to party into the early hours of the morning. Expect plenty of reggaeton, a big dose of salsa and a healthy amount of fellow travellers looking to revel in Colombia’s infamous nightlife.
