A half-naked midget, a baby-oil lathered muscle man grinding a pole and some cool hipsters singing covers in a quiet bar, whatever you want (or perhaps don’t want) you can find it in a bar or nightclub Medellín. And Paisas, people from Antioquia, they sure do know how to party. The parties go well into the night, people dance on tables and pass around shot glasses, they sing together arm-in-arm and don’t go home until the sun rises. But whether you to partying with the best of them or just want to enjoy a glass of vino in a quiet roof-top bar and watch the sunset, in Medellín the choice is yours.
If you want to keep in classy, then Parque Lleras is your best bet. While there are also clubs around the area, there are mostly restaurants and bar that don’t get too rowdy. Head along to one of the great rooftop spots and enjoy the view with your cocktail in hand. If you’re ready for a big night and want to give a shot of Aguardiente a go, then head to one of Medellín’s most popular clubs Mangos. Before you know it you’ll be dancing on podiums and rubbing yourself against some very, very good looking dancers. Whatever you have planned, someone is bound to try and make you dance, so be prepared.
