Looking somewhat incongruous stuck in between the crumbling colonial buildings of Cartagena’s historic centre, Delirio’s clean-cut exterior still shows off some of its original features. This converted building is ideally located within walking distance of most of the city’s main attractions.
The slight overuse of white décor (or perhaps the underuse of colour) in the lobby can be a bit blinding, even sterile, but the friendly and welcoming staff more than make up for this. Besides, the rooms are a touch more homely, with splashes of orange and old wall-to-ceiling photos of Cartagena.
Add to this the roof-top bar, where you can sip a delicious mojito while marvelling at the views, and you’re on to a winner.
